What is House of Misfits?

We are a special circumstances, foster-based rescue in northern MD, run by veterinary professionals. Our focus is on extreme medical cases, congenital deformities/conditions, and neonates. Our intakes are on a case-by-case, foster availability basis.

Care We Provide

  • Severe abuse recovery
  • Severe optical issue care and recovery
  • Foreign body and other complex surgical care and recovery
  • Orthopedic care and rehabilitation
  • Cleft palette and lip care
  • Failure to thrive intensive care
  • Emaciation recovery
  • Neonatal orphan care (bottle/tube feeding)
